The members of Student Government act as a voice for the student body, are role models, help build community, and develop a culture of inclusion, trust, and creativity at Kehillah.
Students serving on Student Government have opportunities to foster school spirit, plan holiday celebrations, lead a weekly all-school assembly that meets on Fridays (KabShab, short for Kabbalat Shabbat, Hebrew for “Welcoming the Sabbath”), organize school-wide community service initiatives, communicate school events to the student body, design and sell school apparel, organize fundraisers, and act as a liaison between the student body and school staff.
