Student
Involvement

Student Life at Kehillah is vibrant, inclusive, and fueled by student imagination .

From clubs, Student Government, and debate to volunteering, peer tutoring, and student teaching, there are countless ways for students to get involved. And, if an opportunity doesn’t yet exist, students are empowered to create it!

StuGov

The members of Student Government are elected as a voice for the student body, are role models, help build community, and develop a culture of inclusion, trust, and creativity at Kehillah.

Students serving in Student Government have opportunities to foster school spirit, lead all-school assemblies on Monday and Kab Shab (Kabbalat Shabbat) on Fridays, plan student events and programming, and act as liaisons between the student body and school administrators.

Student Clubs

Student Clubs at Kehillah offer something for everyone, from art and STEM to community service and cultural connections.

With +25 student-led clubs — such as MultiCultural Club, Biology Club, Service Club, Hebrew Club, Debate Club, Women in STEM Club, and many more — there’s always a place for students to explore interests and build friendships.

Each year brings fresh accomplishments and celebrations as clubs grow and evolve.

Best of all, starting your own club is easy!

If you don’t find the perfect one for you already on campus, you can join us in shaping the next chapter of Kehillah’s vibrant student club scene.

Co-Curricular Programming

At Kehillah, we offer select co-curricular programs that develop leadership, critical thinking, and innovation — qualities that top universities and future careers demand.

Our signature programs include Theater, Debate, Model United Nations (Model UN), Moot Beit Din, and Robotics, each providing students with competitive, hands-on experiences beyond the classroom.

Theater

Theater prepares students for college and professional-level performance through specialized courses, productions, and an annual trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Debate

Debate sharpens critical thinking and public speaking as students compete in local, national, and international tournaments through the National Parliamentary Debate
League (NPDL).

Model United Nations (MUN)

Model United Nations (MUN) develops diplomacy and negotiation skills as students represent countries and organizations in high-stakes global simulations.

Moot Beit Din

Moot Beit Din is a Jewish high school mock court competition where students explore Jewish legal cases, apply rabbinic sources, and present legal arguments before a panel of judges.

Robotics

Robotics provides hands-on experience in engineering, coding, and design as
students build and program sophisticated robots for competitions.
