Full-time faculty serve as advisors to a group of approximately 10 students. The advisor acts as a communication link between students, teachers, and family. Advisory groups meet twice a week, allowing students and advisors to discuss concerns and ideas, as well as foster a sense of community. Advisory serves as a way to prepare students for all-school meetings, and to elicit feedback from students on a variety of topics.
Advisors maintain regular one-on-one communication with their advisees and regularly check on their academic performance. Advisors provide additional support and connect students with resources or study plans, as needed. Advisors are also the point-person for communication with parents.
