Gina Strafelda is a Spanish teacher that joins us most recently from Annapolis, MD. As a teenager growing up in Minnesota, she had an amazing opportunity to go to Guatemala on a service trip. She fell in love with the Spanish language and cultures, and since then has lived in Venezuela, Honduras, and Spain. She has a B.S. in Spanish Education from Minnesota State University, and an M.Ed. in Spanish as a Second Language from the Universidad de Alcalá, in Madrid, Spain.
Ms. Strafelda believes that the first step to creating more peace in the world is through understanding one another, and teaching a foreign language fits well with that credence. She also loves learning languages in general and can speak some Mandarin, Italian, and ASL.
