Learning to learn
Last Thursday we kicked off our Kehillah Conversations series with a conversation with Head of School Dr. Daisy Pellant as she shared personal and scholarly insights on the nature and purpose of learning. Dr. Pellant’s remarks set the stage for a wonderful conversation in which attendees reflected on a compelling (and perhaps unusual) question: When did you learn how to learn? Many of us shared accounts from our own time as students in high school and college, and a common theme that emerged for many attendees was the powerful role particular teachers played in their intellectual and personal formation. I hope that we’ll have a chance to continue exploring this idea – and sharing our stories – in future events in this series.
