Ora Gittelson-David is originally from Miami Beach, Florida. She is a Jewish day school graduate. She earned her bachelor's degree from Barnard College and a master's degree in social work from Yeshiva University. She lived in Israel for 18 years. Ora recently completed training to be a day school teacher through Hebrew Union College, and is currently teaching Jewish Studies and service learning at Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School. Ora and her husband Yossi have three children, all alumni of Kehillah Jewish High School. She was a member of the head of school search committee at Yavneh Day School several years ago. In addition, she participated in the original Kehillah committee to find a head of Judaic studies and the original committee which defined Kehillah's scholarship policies. She and her family are active members of Congregation Kol Emeth in Palo Alto.
