Every year, Kehillah joins with activists around the world for One Billion Rising in solidarity to end violence against women and girls. This year, there were more students involved than ever! They created a powerful and poignant program to shine a light on this difficult topic and inspire our community to stand up against such atrocities. The program reviewed global statistics and then zoomed-in on current events, examined cultural norms, and discussed situations students potentially witness every day that could be exacerbating the problem. We then invited everyone to sit, stand, dance, or simply be present to show their support for the cause – ending violence against women and girls.
