Moot Court 2021
The Honorable Mr. Linden and his annual, Moot Court
After a month of studying the Supreme Court and its procedures, writing briefs, and holding oral arguments for a series of historic cases, the students of AP Gov had their formal moot courts in class on Wednesday the 17th, 2021. Arguing cases that they selected from the Supreme Court’s docket for this year, the students prepared legal briefs and arguments and made their cases while being peppered with questions from the justices–a combined bench of students, teachers, and practicing lawyers. Now that the cases have concluded, the students who served as justices are hard at work writing the opinions of our court, and we are all looking forward to reading the decisions handed down by the Supreme Court in D.C. later this year!
