Kehillah Students Win 1st Place in Moot Beit Din Competition

Kol HaKavod to Joy Cheskin and Adam Eylon (class of 2019) for placing first in their division in the 2018 Moot Beit Din (Rabbinical court) competition! Students nationwide were asked to explore halakhah (Jewish religious laws) in a fictional medical case. Is “Michael” halakhically obligated to donate his bone marrow? If “Michael” is indeed obligated, Michael should receive any financial compensation from Judy for any financial losses he incurs? Joy and Adam put together a compelling video and essay explaining their decision using Halakhah. Their video won 1st place!
