Kehillah Chess Club Competes in Palo Alto Chess Tournament
Three members of the Kehillah chess club took part in a local tournament this past Sunday. Daniel Mendelevich won first place in his category, with 2.5 points from 3 games, and boosted his chess rating by 24 points. Jacob Goldman lost the first two games against much stronger opponents, but showed character and won the 3rd game to improve his overall chess rating. Dr. Baharav also took part and won the two games he played.
We have a very active chess club during lunch on Thursday, with its internal ladder system and games. We hope to have a Kehillah team in the next local tournament.
