AP Art History Trip to Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University
Dr. Dooley’s AP Art History class took its first field trip of the year to the Cantor Center for Visual Arts at Stanford University. They specifically went to see the museum’s indigenous American art collection, the focus of their current unit, and to explore their larger collection. The Cantor Center for Visual Arts was founded when the university opened in 1891 and expanded and renamed in 1999 for lead donors Iris and B. Gerald Cantor. The Cantor’s collection spans 5,000 years and includes more than 38,000 works of art from around the globe. More Here
