Alumni Voices – Saadi Halil and his brother are crafting exquisite ice cream with purpose
Saadi and his brother Adar didn’t know their delicious hobby would turn into their livelihood, how sweet it is!
In this brief interview with Kehillah Alum, Saadi tells us all about the journey from college to ice-cream creator and how churning ice cream for frontline workers is just one of the positive causes they’ve been able to support. Check out their website HERE and be a part of supporting Pints for Hometown Heroes.
Here’s a quote from their website about the uniquely delicious, inspired flavors they craft regularly:
One of the great things about ice cream is that it can take the shape and taste of anything you can imagine. One of the great things of having a racially and culturally mixed background is access to a diversity of thought, tradition, and best of all, food!
Many of our ice creams are inspired by culinary traditions from around the world. We love to participate in cultural education through food. Be it Baklava, Schwarzvälder Eis, Sufganiyot, Khao Niao Mamuang or Alfajores, we’ll find a way to make its Ice cream form just as good, if not better!
