Important August Dates
Kehillah PSAT • SAT • ACT Testing Day
Kehillah will administer the PSAT for 10th and 11th graders on the same day as the SAT. As in the years prior to COVID-19, the PSAT for juniors is the first step in qualifying for a National Merit Scholarship and also a valuable opportunity for students to take a practice standardized test. Click button below for more info.
Kinnus 2021
Thursday, August 23 & 24, 8:30 AM-3:00 PM
In most years our Kinnus is an in-person, multi-day extravaganza of engaging activities and fun for our students. Last year we found a way to make this event work remotely but we are thrilled to be back to our usual itinerary! Link below for the full info.
Shuttle Info
Daily
Kehillah will be providing shuttle service for the 2021-2022 school year between the Palo Alto Caltrain Station, located at 95 University Avenue, and Kehillah.
Visit our Shuttle Information page for details and to sign-up.
School Lunches
Daily
In the spirit of reopening with an abundance of caution, we will continue to expand our lunch area to outdoor seating and allowing families to bring their own meals. We have the intention of getting back to offering lunches and will continue to watch the county COVID rates to determine when that makes the most sense for our community.
Technology Update
On-Going
We are asking that families not use Chromebooks for school. Students need devices with software downloading capabilities again, due to the, hopefully small, chance we might have to pivot to remote learning. In general, for computer science and digital art classes, a Chromebook is not powerful enough. As an institution we do not have a preference between PC or Mac devices for students. Our adult community generally uses Macs.
New Master Schedule
Daily
Since March, 2020, we made two significant changes in our schedule, initially to transition to distance learning and then to a hybrid plan this past year. Given our intention to return to campus fully in August, we can return to a similar schedule that we had prior to the pandemic. For more information and to view a Master Schedule, click link below.
Staff & Faculty Updates
Shalom!
In addition to the new students and families joining us this year, we are also welcoming some incredible new professionals to our team.We are also saying farewell to some beloved staff for whom we wish the best on their new journeys.
