GO RAMS! 🐏
Play-by-play:
Students were first serenaded by teachers on their opportunity to make important choices before walking together to Mitchell Park. At the Community Center, we split into grades to focus on our role as members of our class and went outside for a cookout and free time. We came back together for an excitement-filled game show where we got to learn about the educators at school before diving into a discussion on the meaning of responsibility. The day ended with some low ropes games in small groups. The seniors headed to camp for their overnight and they greeted the rest of school in the morning. We split out into small group breakouts to discuss the many groups we’re responsible to from friends to school to the world community. Then, the seniors answered the ninth graders’ questions while the sophomore and juniors played a game and discussed their role in doing community service. The afternoon concluded with a talent show, color war games, and an opportunity to write a new school song. Everyone could feel the excitement and energy for the new school year!
