2018 Kehillah Fall Sports – That’s a wrap!
Congratulations, Senior Class Athletes!
Adam Eylon – Adam is a jack of all trades multi-sport athlete at Kehillah. He has played the following sports: Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and Cross Country. This year as a member of the Cross Country team, he showed great leadership and encouragement to his fellow runners.
Chad Feingold – Chad has been a great addition to the soccer team while at Kehillah. He is beyond dominant. In the six league games he played this season, he scored 28 goals!
Jason Flaster – (not pictured) Jason has been an excellent player on the soccer team. He has played nearly every position and really developed as a leader this season. When in his more comfortable position at defense, he routinely shut down their offensive attacks.
Lexi Tuch – Lexi started out as a soccer player at Kehillah and has transitioned to the Volleyball court. She has played an excellent role on the team as a senior leader.
Fall Sport’s Wrap-Up
Cross-Country
We couldn’t have planned a better ending to the cross country season: Family reunion, camaraderie, and personal records!
Family: Senior, Adam Eylon, ran his last official high-school race. His sister Sarah Eylon, Kehillah Alumni, 2016, joined in support while on a short visit from service in the IDF.
Camaraderie: Our JV came in full force, and our 6 runners ended up running together in pairs, supporting and encouraging, pulling and pushing each other through the course. Incredible team spirit DURING the race.
Personal records: We had three (!!) personal records to top it all: Zach, Daniel, and Ilan!
Many thanks to all those who contributed to the 2018 season:
- Parents
- Coaches: Ms. McElhatton, and Dr. Dolley
- Faculty supporters: Dr. Hobson and Mr. Ryan Greenfield, our Sports Director
We couldn’t have done it without you!
Soccer
The Kehillah soccer team finished their season on a positive note, winning two of their final three games! The loss that week came against the eventual league champion with a respectable score of 6-3. The two victories were in dominant fashion, winning 8-2 and 5-1.
Volleyball
The Varsity Volleyball team finished up their season with two wins in thrilling fashion! They battled with Summit Prep on Senior night in a five-game match that came down to the very end. Kehillah went ahead 2-0 in the first two games, but Summit Prep evened it up in the 3rd and 4th. It came down to the fifth game where Kehillah was able to stop their dominant server and then were guided to the win by excellent serving from Hannah Stern. The game scores are as follows: 25-22, 25-8, 21-25, 21-25, 15-13.
The final match of the season was away at Mid-Peninsula. It was a hard-fought match, where all three games were tied at 15-15. In each of the games, Kehillah was able to pull away. Kehillah finished off their season with a 25-18, 25-17, 25-19 victory.
The Varsity Volleyball team finished their season with a 7-10 overall record.
