Wendy Gibbons

Wendy Gibbons brings to Kehillah her background teaching a multitude of science content areas at both the college and high school levels. Ms. Gibbons taught primarily Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Physics during her seven years at Dubuque Senior High School in Iowa, with stints instructing classes in Astronomy and Environmental Science as well. She especially has focused and trained in developing problem-based learning and inquiry lab techniques. Ms. Gibbons holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Brown University as well as a Master’s degree in Plant Molecular Biology and another Master’s in Science Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She holds California Teaching credentials in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Ms. Gibbons also hopes to share her passion for natural history, especially birding and botanizing, with her Kehillah students.
