Ronit Balan is a native speaker of Hebrew. Ms. Balan has extensive training in teaching English language to non-native speakers. For the last 20 years, Ms. Balan has applied the principles of ESL to teaching Hebrew as a second language to learners of all ages and levels. Ms. Balan served as an instructor and level coordinator for the EFL department of the Open Unversity, Tel Aviv University and Ministry of Education in Israel before coming to California, where she has taught Hebrew at Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School, De Anza College, Congregation Beth Am, and the Oshman Family JCC. Ms. Balan holds a Teaching Certification in ESL/EFL, B.A. in English Literature, and an M.A. in Second Language Education from Tel Aviv University.
