Karla Chouhan is a photographer, graphic designer, and educator who inspires and empowers her students to explore the power of art, igniting the artist within.
Karla has successfully ran her own studio, Karla Chouhan Photography, for more than 30 years and has taught at the collegiate and high school level for more than 17 years.
She received a B.A. in Commercial and Scientific Photography from the internationally renowned Brooks Institute of Photography. From there her career took form at NASA exploring scientific endeavors and in Nashville where she worked for music labels and magazines, shooting over 1000 covers for the likes of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and others.
Having achieved success in the freelance world, Karla found her passion for teaching and is excited to share her knowledge. Her own struggles and successes have shaped her approach to teaching, it is not just about acquiring skills but in having patience with oneself through the process.
