Thomas Romero
Music Teacher
 

Tom Romero teaches music at Kehillah Jewish High School and continues to develop new classes and curriculum to bring the school’s music program to new heights. Mr. Romero teaches multiple rock/jazz bands, and guitar classes, and is an active musician who has been teaching guitar in the wider bay area for many years. He received a B.A. in Music from California State University Long Beach, and his Teaching Credential and Master of Arts Teaching from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont. He has composed original music for short films and documentaries, and he currently performs as principal guitarist with the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra/Ensemble, the Silver Strings Ensemble, Caffe Acoustico, and The Wentworth/Romero Flute and Guitar Duo. He has studied with internationally acclaimed musicians Richard Patterson (classical guitar) and Chris Aquavella (classical mandolin).
