Lauren McElhatton is passionate about enriching students’ lives by helping teachers excel. A dynamic, veteran educator, Ms. McElhatton has been teaching students to write cleverly and discover the power of the narrative for 14 years. She has spearheaded successful school accreditation projects and worked in both public and private school, and also spent time volunteering with schools in South Africa and South Korea. As Assistant Principal, Ms. McElhatton acts as an instructional coach and mentor to faculty, leveraging two teaching credentials, and her experience in multiple academic disciplines, to develop Kehillah teachers. She also builds strategic supports and training to enhance Kehillah classrooms. Ms. McElhatton holds degrees from Stanford University, UC San Diego, and is completing an MBA at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business (weekend cohort). When away from school, you can usually find her running half marathons or fine-tuning her work with a pen or a camera.
