Jake Marmer
Jewish Studies / English / Dean of Jewish Studies
 

Jake Marmer is the Dean of Jewish Studies at Kehillah. He teaches in both Jewish Studies and English departments. Most of his courses center around poetry, creative writing, and mythology. Jake is the author of two poetry collections, “The Neighbor Out of Sound” and “Jazz Talmud”, both published by the Sheep Meadow Press. In the off-hours, he’s working on the doctoral dissertation for the CUNY Graduate Center. He is a contributing editor at Tablet Magazine and is a co-founder of North America’s first Jewish Poetry retreat at KlezKanada Festival.
