Kehillah/JCHS Combo Chess Team Wins 3rd Place at State Championships
Kehillah Jewish High School chess club joined forces with Jewish Community High School of the Bay and competed as one team in the state championship for high schools.
The joined team won 3rd place!
The tournament included 5 rounds, each of an hour long game. Hari Iyer scored 2.5 points out of 5 on the 1st board, and Jacob Goldman added 4.5 out of 5 on the 2nd board. Ilana Borison and Julian Handwerker from JCHS joined to complete the team.
Many thanks to Mr. Michael Fitch from JCHS for making this happen.
