Kehillah B’Yachad – Kehillah Together: Fresh air, friends and fun!
Closing out our first week of Kehillah B’Yachad, the new after-school program and we are loving the time outdoors together!
With safety precautions in place we are enjoying a variety of activities and look forward to the coming weeks as our community enjoys a bit of real face time, away from our screens.
You are welcome to do a drive-by and see how it works and what options are available. You can find out the details of how to sign-up on our site and get more information about schedules and programming.
Our (optional) after-school program consists of 90-minute blocks on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. With a grade-level specific program that takes place every Wednesday!
Coach Ryan recently began hosting a “Before School Training”
Tues and Fri from 7:50 – 8:15am
It’s a great way to get students up and moving before the school day begins.
A schoology message to students goes out the night before as a reminder. If your student is interested in this we can make it a fun consistent group! Just email Coach Ryan for details!
Students are welcome to take the workouts as easy or hard as they like. The workouts range from stretching to High Intensity Interval Training and everybody is welcome to go as easy or hard as they want. The goal is to get some movement before sitting for an extended period of time.
You can make a difference in helping our community continue to flourish!
In this unprecedented time of challenges, our staff, faculty and community have come together (while apart) and made distance learning an extraordinary experience (I’m wary of characterizing the experience this way. Based on perspectives students shared last night, they love Kehillah and appreciate the care the school has put into its response…but they don’t see it as extraordinary. Happy to discuss further.). This is an ongoing effort that reflects on the strength of our community, as a whole. When we come together, we can do BIG THINGS but right now, we need your help.
There are many ways to support Kehillah Jewish High school through philanthropic giving. Your gift directly supports our students, faculty, and staff, and enables us to deliver on our mission.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous donor your donations will be matched as follows:
- Gifts from our Board, all new gifts, and gifts at or above $1800 will be matched 1:1
- Grandparent and faculty/staff gifts will be matched 2:1
- Alumni gifts will be matched 3:1!
